They are made from a non-vented material. Of the three styles available, the concave style is not recommended for canopies as it may interfere with the swing of your storm door. Awnings are designed to mount over windows. Features Made from a vented material which will allow hot air to escape. Made from a 0.020 gauge aluminum alloy (H3105H16) and are reinforced with 0.32 one inch square hollow lock-seam tubing. All canopy and awning material is coated for lasting baked-on enamel finish. Awnings can be mounted on the vertical casings or outside of the casings. The drop on awnings generally comes to the meeting rail of the window but this may vary depending on light requirement. Projection length should be no less than the drop length.
